A camel is a horse designed by a committee
It's an ancient proverb.
It's meaning, in my words, would be:
That so many people try to throw their own ideas to create one great thing, but fail to do so.
A camel is much slower than a horse, less aesthetically pleasing-- it just doesn't compare to a horse.

If you believe Wikipedia, then
Design by committee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"One maxim is that a camel is a horse designed by committee; this has been attributed to Vogue magazine, July 1958, to Sir Alec Issigonis and also to University of Wisconsin philosophy professor Lester Hunt."
Hi, afk4780!
I'm interested in why you posted the saying here, please? What is it for?
Thanks!
