There was, apparently, a power outage yesterday evening while we were out because all the clocks had reset by a couple of hours. That was the only evidence until I tried to start the dishwasher. It doesn't respond at all.

I have checked the circuit breaker and have tried various combinations of button pushing.

For some season, they put a wall switch in for the dishwasher when they built the house and I have tried flipping THAT off and on.

Any other suggestions before I have to call a repairman?

It seems you have tried just about everything you know to try with limited skills or tools. It might be best to contact a service person to have a look.
