Principle of Heat Pipe in Air Handling Unit
    Hi all,

Can you please explain me the function and principle of Heat Pipe in Fresh air handling Unit? I know that it is filled with Refrigerant around the Cooling/heating coil but what's the basic purpose of it that I don't know... please help me.

The principle of heat pipe in Fresh Air Handling unit is as follow:

1- The fresh air goes through the first heat pipe coil and heats up the liquid inside the coil thus the fresh air losses some of its heat and becomes cooler

2- Then the cooler fresh air enters to the cooling coil and gets cooled to a cooler temperature than usuall, thus removing more moisture from the fresh air (you will why in step three)

3- Then the fresh air enters the second heat pipe coil and gets heated up to the desired temperature

Before Heat pipe technology the second coil was done by an electrical or gas heater. As well as you will need to increase the cooling coil size. Now with this heat pipe technology, running cost of energy is reduced.

The idea of heat pipe is to enable the removal of more moisture from the air
