Question:
In the next few months I will be moving out of state. I have a child with my ex-wife and I need to know what my rights are as far as visitation. I'm moving 500 miles away. What do I do.

Your rights don't change because you chose to move away. If you want to modify the visitation rules to include more overnights or longer periods, you have to either go back to the court and ask for a modification or get your ex to agree.
Has a visitation order been established? If so then it remains in effect until the court changes it if ever. If not then I'd advise you to petition the court to have one drawn up now.
