I have a 1974 jd 110 and for some reason it won't start now.it started up and the shut down.I check to see if I was getting a spark from the spark plug but nothing,it getting gas turn over fast,so need to know if what is the reason why I'm not getting a spark

Oldie goldie there! Is it a Kohler (hopefully) or a Tecumseh (trouble there.) Either engine it is liable to be the ignition coil and or the condenser. Probably the coil, but replace both as the coil is many times more expensive. If it happens to be a Tecumseh, the points are obsolete, though the JD dealer in Asheboro, NC had some awhile back still in stock.
