Can circuit work well if we connect 12A load to 20A circuit?
    Hello:

I have several equipment which are around 12A. I just can connect them to 20A circuit.

But I am not sure if circuit will trip well under overload and short circuit.

    I know 15A is perfect.But,I don't have 15A circuit

    Thanks for everybody.

A 20 amp circuit will work fine with a 12 amp load, no concern needed for short circuit or overcurrent protection of a properly working and installed breaker.

The breaker protects the wiring, NOT the equipment.

Does that mean we also can connect 12A load to 25A,30A,or bigger circuit?(12A is only load)

    THanks for answer

Yes a 12A load can go on a 15A circuit or 25A.30A breaker you never want the other way around 20A load on a 15A circuit
