    Painting T11 Cedar Siding
I need to know the proper paint and process of painting the T-11 cedar siding. It was painted about 11 years ago, but I do not know what kind of paint was used. Also, does it need just sprayed to remove dirt, or power washed prior to painting?

Scrape or sand all loose paint.

Wash with hose to remove sanding dust and dirt. Let dry.

Paint with good quality exterior paint.

    Good luck

Scrape and sand all loose paint. Wash clean and let dry. PRIME WITH EXTERIOR GRADE PRIMER ! Paint with TOP Quality Exterior grade paint ( such as Benjamin Moore ) I usually brush first coat and roll second coat. Use a dood quality brush and !/2" or 3/4" roller. This should give you a long lasting, quality job. The quality of tools and materials transfers to the quality of the finished work.
