Ex girlfriend keeping intouch with my cousin/ best friend
Hey first of all Som bqckground info my ex and I have been. Broken up for almost 5 months now and in that 5 months she has tried to get back togethe. But it was to late I saw through her bs and didn't want it. Well recently she has started talking with my cousin more n more on the phone just calling him up n even went as far as coming over to our family get together when my cousin invited her she knew I would be there of course. My cousin is trying to wrk things out with his x girlfriend that they were to be engaged which I know he loves very my much. Now my question at hand is how come my ex all of sudden is calling my cousin a lot to hang out n all that stuff when while we were talking she barely talked to him.

And yes I have been on strict nc for the entire time since the break up apart from that run in at the get together in which I just casually said hello n that was that.

Some advice on how to deal with something like this o

First of all, you're not entirely respecting all the no contact rules. You should be getting so many updates about her life. She can talk to whoever she wants. She's single now. Don't bother trying to figure out why she's talking to your cousin, cause that will just give you more misery.

Move on with your life. Meet new people. Let her live her life and you live yours.

As for your cousin, make sure your cousin doesn't give you updates about your ex anymore. And tell him that you prefer that he doesn't invite her to family gatherings, cause you are still sensitive about her. Until you are completely over her, he shouldn't be bringing her over to family gatherings.

You need to set boundaries with your cousin.

If he is going be her friend then fine but there is no need for him to tell you about her life.

Also, if there is going be a family function then he shouldn't invite especially if he knows your trying to get over her. However, if she is there you shouldn't let it phrase nor get under your skin.

Talk to your cousin because some how he might be playing Devil's Advocate in hopes of reconnecting the two of you.

You better tell the cousin you don't want her back, so butt out of your business.
