Hi Folks.

The issue is with dishwasher not draining. Had the issue in the past and was able to solve it by cleaning up the little filter under the dishwasher (not sure the proper name for it, it connects to the hose, is about 2-3 inches long, has a little strainer in it to keep the debris).

This time once I disconnected the hose the remaining water drained through the filter-strainer, so that wasn't the case. I have cleaned the hose connecting dishwasher to the under the sink pipe about a year ago.

Don't think anything is clogged in the dishwasher (since the water drained after disconnecting the hose), and am suspecting some kind of pump malfunction.

Since the dishwasher is pretty old (not sure how old, but didn't look new when we bought the house 5 years ago ;-), I am thinking of buying a new one (energy star) unless there is fairly simple and cost effective solution to my problem.
