    Hopefully you meant "Karat"!
    Solid Gold refers to any gold that is at least 10K (in U.S.). So anything between 10K and 24K is called solid gold.

    WRONG solid gold is 24kt-anything less is mixed with an alloy to make the piece stronger and more durable as pure gold is very soft. Any gold piece in U.S. has to be at least 10kt or it is not considered gold due to high content of other metal.Other countries use 9kt and even 8kt.
