I have filed the tax extension for this year. I have filled in the form 4868 and posted to the appropriate address on 10 Apr 2009. But haven't got any reply or update from them yet.

How do I confirm whether my tax extension has reached IRS and has been accepted?
Is there a way to verify the status?

You will get no reply from the IRS, nor can you verify that the IRS received the extension.

Further, it REALLY does not matter. Even if you did NOT file the extension, NOTHING happens to you if you file late when you are due a refund.

Stop worrying about it and file your return.
