I get that when I take my migraine medicine, Imitrex, but not spontaneously by itself. Could you have bitten the inside of your mouth/cheek such that you might be bleeding without knowing it? Blood tastes metallic (at least to me) so next time you experience this phenomena try spitting into a tissue and see if there's any blood. Or perhaps blood from gastric reflux ending up in your mouth?

I don't ever take medicine. I haven't bitten the inside of my mouth/cheek. The taste is coming from my bottom gums under my bottom front teeth. Don't know if it has to do with my teeth or not. But It just comes and goes. Sometimes it'll stay like that for a while. Just don't know what could be causing that to happen. And no gastric reflux for me!
