    Hampton Bay Wobble
I just bought a new fan and installed it today. I was checking the distance from the ceiling to blade tip and its off. I know the blades used to be adjustable for this but these are not. It looks like the blade brackets are bent but I do not want to bend them because the instruction say not to. The model is Redington 4, part # 140125.

Also, has the quality of these dropped in the last 4 years? The last one I bought and installed, be it was a model of hampton bay was much nicer. This one is pretty crappy. Also they do not have a customer service line in the manual, are they scared to answer questions.

    Thanks in advance.

As far as I am concerned they have always been crappy. Before you go bending brackets, make sure all the screws are tight and the brackets are lined up properly against the motor (and the blades to the brackets). If everything is in order you may have to bend them. See:

I would be nice if the light kit came of so I could get to the bracket screws.

    Thanks
