There's this move that I saw on HBO about 4 years ago and I cannot remember its name. I have done extensive plot-searching in the Internet with no success. The movie starts with the bitter divorce of a fairly successful New York couple (cheating wife) after which the husband takes off to Greece with their teenage daughter. They live in a deserted island (almost, just one native old man with his sheep). At one point the guy gets involved with a young woman (local Greek? I don't remember) and later on in the movie, a fancy yacht passing nearby the island is caught in a storm and lands at this island's shore with several passengers, one of each, of all people, is this guy's ex-wife. I don't remember exactly, but I think the two make up in the end. Cannot name a single actor, but I'm sure that any reader here who has seen this movie would, from this description, know exactly what movie it is.

Under "Greek Island" by-plot movie search, IMDb comes up with about 50 movies, one of which is "Tempest" with a kind of similar plot, but its cast is by no means the movie I saw.

PS. It's funny that I watched this movie on HBO back to back with another movie that takes place in Greek islands: Madonna's "Swept Away". I had also forgotten its title, but knowing that Madonna was in it, it was not as hard to find the title.

Maybe take another look at the movie Tempest. It has an identical plot to which you described. New York, Greek island, sheep, yacht, shipwreck, wife...

I think you're correct. I had read just a very short plot description, not enough to overcome my assumption that there was no way that I saw Susan Sarandon in that movie. When I read the rest from Yahoo I saw that the plot is, indeed, exactly the same, unless there is a different production of the same movie. I'll buy it and I'll confirm things. Old Vittorio Gassman is the clue. I remember seeing him in the movie, which kind of confirms that this is it. Amazing that, as much as I like Susan Sarandon, I don't remember her in the movie.
