    Hi, Delpha!

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Would you please clarify what you're asking without using any abbreviations?

    Thanks!

    Of course, Clough!

"How do I baste a quilt so it can be machine quilted?"

    And it's "basteing," not "basting."

Thanks for the explanation, Wondergirl! It seems that there were some spelling issues.

Do you know what basteing is, Clough, and what it's for, what it does?

No, I don't know what it is and what it's for, but I could research it. One of the things that I like about this site is the things that I learn by participating on it!

    Thanks!

Basteing is hand sewing using large stitches to hold two pieces of cloth together, perhaps to create a garment so you can try it on to check for fit and thus adjust the basteing stitches. Later, you would machine stitch over the basteing (for permanence) and then remove the basteing stitches.

You should have attended 4-H Club or had my mother as your next-door neighbor.

Okay, I thought that basteing had to do with putting the fabric in some kind of liquid.

    Thanks!

I didn't get around to changing it yet because my connection is really slow right now.

    Thanks!
