Peonies care of and cutting of

I need to know what time of day to cut peonies to bring them inside? Is there any special kind of water to make them last longer? And is there anyway to make a bud bloom inside?

I inherited my grandmothers home and the yard was once filled with gorgeous peonies, all shades of pinks reds and white. In the 10 yrs I have lived here they have all bloomed white?? I did nothing, but alas I do not have her natural green thumb.

Morning is the time to cut any flower to bring indoors. But beware of bringing peonies indoors, they are filled with ants and you will have them all over the place.
