Applying for Law Enfocement job as a peace Officer
I was Intrested in trying out for law enforcement here in Iowa. Even though I have to list everything honest about me on the application, I am worried about listing my brothers felony charge on being a past sex offender and listing my sons 3 felonys charges.Can a law enforcement agency hold this against me or can they deny further testing because of what they did? I was invvited to participate in the physical and writing phase for the State of Iowa last year... But postponed it till this year because of being in doubt but now I realize I am getting older and have to act now to see if it is possible. I am currently 41 and have enrolled in a Community College majoring in Criminal Justice and will Graduate in the spring of 2011. I also plan on going to a University for a Bachelors Degree as well. I have clean driving record and a clean criminal record.
