My son has a 94 Honda Civic and the speedometer quit working. At times it would work, but be bouncing around a lot. We put a new speed sensor in and now it goes to 20mph when you turn the key on and it stays there. The speed sensor was $100 and I hate to keep throwing money at it without a solution. Any ideas.

If the odometer and trip meter work, but the speedometer does not, focus on repairing/replacing the speedometer and the printed circuit board (PCB).
