    Probation violation New Jersey
I violated probation on sept 2001, original charge was credit card fraud 3rd degree. Was given orig sentence 364 days jail and 3 yrs probation. Now I man up that I violated. But I have started my life over in another state married, kids finished college etc. Now I have been checked a few times and this hasn't"t come up. but a good friend on the "job" has told me its there as a VOP warrant. question is why has this not come up or has it and state im in now doesnt care? dumb question does a vop warrant expire? i also work in a job where my fingerprints have been checked but in the state i live in but nothing comes back. have i just been blessed with the luck of the Irish to keep slipping through the cracks. So i guess what im asking is Do certain states not care bout "PROBATION" NOT "PAROLE" violaters or am I just 1 lucky son of a gun to be running now for almost 9 years.

    Hello free:

I don't think having to look over your shoulder is lucky at all.

Now, if you escaped from a bad prison, I'd say you're lucky... But you escaped from... the street! It makes no sense to me.

FYI Probation Violation Warrants never expire. You will get caught eventually. It's only a matter of time until someone runs you through the NCIC and you end up winning the jackpot for that day.
