    Circuit breaker did not trip
Yesterday I was running my portable chop saw off my outside outlet when suddenly it stopped. I checked the circuit breaker for that outlet but it did not trip. I reset it anyway but there still was no power to that outlet. Does that mean the circuit breaker is bad and I should replace it? I removed the outlet and reset the circuit breaker again and checked the wires with a tester to see if it was the outlet , but there still was no power. What should I do now?

Turn the breaker off... pull out the receptacle... carefully separate the wires and wire nut them. Turn the breaker on and test the wires. If they show current, it's most likely the receptacle, if not you may have a loose connection somewhere, or a faulty breaker. NO quick answers, just trouble shoot from one end to the other. BE CAREFUL.

If its an outside recept it should be connected to a gfci recept somewhere. Look for a gfci recept and see if it tripped.
