    Painful boil with abscess
I fell and broke my tooth in my primary school days. I was treated and there was no pains again. In my early thirties I started having boil at the upper gum of the broken tooth which breaks and produces pus. It goes each time I take antibiotics but latter comes back. What should I do?

I think that you should go and see a dentist, he'll know what to do. I think that you may need to do an X-ray to see whether there may be complications.

Are you saying that the fragmented tooth is still in your mouth or are you only referring to where the broken tooth once was?

You definitely need to see a dentist. If it's still the fragmented tooth, you probably will need to have a root canal or have it removed all together.

But you need to get to a dentist asap because abcesses are VERY serious and can lead to death if not treated.
