My husband had a colon surgery two weeks ago, he developed illuim three days after the surgery,wich made his recovery slower.Now we are at home but I'm worried of what to feed him,as he can only eat small amounts,he is now feeling weak.Also I would like to vary the food a litlle.

Call the hospital where he had surgery. Ask to speak to a Registered Dietician. They may call and give suggestions over the phone. You may have to visit for an appointment. This should be part of the total cost paid by insurance.

Were you given dietary instructions before leaving the hospital? Were the instructions given by a nurse or a dietician? Nurses are very knowledgeable too. If you are able to remember a name, ask for a specific person to return your call.
