Can a business owner of a retail store monitor the store from their home computer without notifying the staff? I think this is in violation of some law. What are the ramifications of this violation if any? And what can I do?

That it is being used to tease and prank employees. The boss or anyone from their home calling the store and hanging up just as the employee answers the phone. Again I ask, isn't this in violation with labor laws in Ca.
