I moved out of my apartment by the date I was told to stop eviction, however my son's father (not on lease) has not moved out yet. I wanted to know if there is a way to stop the eviction against me, since I no longer live in the apartment. Also my son's father told me that I have 5 days to respond to the letter that was received on Saturday. How do I handle this without messing up my credit?

Contact your landlord and tell him youy have complied with his vacate order, but the other occupant refuses to leave. Ask that he proceed with the eviction only against the other occupant.

However, since he wasn't on the lease YOU may have to institute eviction proceedings against him.
