    Can a child receive s.s.I?
Someone just asked me yesterday about ssi.
Her daughters dad just got on ssi. Can her daughter get any of that even though she has full custody of her daughter ? :)

Yes; there was a discussion about that between members some time ago as to whether the custodial parent or the parent receiving SSI would have to apply on behalf of the child. Either way, the child is eligible to receive SSI if her father is receiving it.
