    Garage circuit issue
Hi, I have a CKT for my garage lights and outlets(garage dr. opener), breaker seemed to have tripped , checked it , it is OK, checked voltage @ switches and outlets on CKT, and I have 80 VAC at first swicth on CKT, 120 VAC out of breaker. Question is what would cause this loss in voltage on such a simple CKT ?

    Please Help, Lost,

I take it your lights are probably dimmer then usual also. Check your neutral/white wire for a loose connection at panel. When you checked power at switch did you check it from the hot/black to the white wire?

Yes, I checked voltage with meter leads on black and white with wires off outlet/switch

OK, need to try and figure out where wire goes from panel to first junction and check power at that point. Are your lights also not working? Are the wires in the box where you checked the power coming directly from panel?
