I need instruction on how to unlock my 2001 alero oldsmobile gls stereo

You need a code that is specific for the radio. If you don't have the code, you'll have to get it from an Oldsmobile dealer. You'll need proof of ownership, the vehicle identification number (VIN), and possibly a serial number from the radio. I don't know whether you'll have to pay for it or not.
