    Talking Toddlers or Lack Thereof
My three and a half year old son is not talking, I have tried special schools that cost a fortune that I can not afford, teachers that are sent out to our home, I have tried having him test for everything in the book that may cause such a delay and there is still no answers and no improvement. I would appreciate any help or advice that any mothers/fathers can give out their who may have some fresh insight or insight of experience.

I am going to assume he has been checked out by his doctor, an audiologist, and a speech pathologist?

    Many questions:

When you say he is not talking, is he literally not saying anything coherent, or is it more of a restricted vocabulary? If he does say some words, is he articulate? Are others able to understand him? Does he have any siblings? Did he have any health issues as an infant? Have you had any concerns with his ability to interact with people... responding to them, following simple directions and commands, eye contact, normal response to stimulation? Does he get overly upset with sound or when there is a lot going on around him? Is he social? Small and large motor skills as they should be? Developmental milestones reached within an average time frame? Was there any sort of possible emotional distruption in his past?
