    Needing a answer
I miscarried on April 25th. I was 6 weeks along. I still have not started my period. My husband and I are wanting to try again. But my Dr wanted me to wait until I had 2 cycles. Any ideas on when I should get my period again?

I am sorry for your loss jenna, must be hard.

Now, to answer your question. It is difficult to say when your cycle will start. Were you regular before the miscarriage? Have you gone back to your doctor for a 6 week check up? Is it possible you are pregnant now?

Yes I was very regular every 28 to 30 days. Like clock work. My husband to joke about how regular I was. I have not been back to my Dr. She did not want to see me for a 6 week check up. I don't think that I am pregnant.

I would say that it is time for a check up. Did you have a D&C?

You need to find out why you are not having periods yet.

    No I didn't need a D & C. it was a natural miscarriage with no complications

As a nurse in women's health (look at my signature line), I am left wondering if any products of conception were left over causing the missed periods. It also may be hormonal in nature.

You should make an appointment with your doctor for a proper diagnosis as to why your periods have not started back yet.
