a)he always calls, always invites you out and always takes you to new exiting places meet contestant number one 'Player' he's super cool, super sweet but wait what's this a message on his phone uh oh and missed calls from a new number I wonder

b)he always has something new in his pocket not to mention bad breath hello but use a tictac meet contestant number two 'Druggie' you met him just wondering around and before you know it he's got you on something or never has any cash or is in debt to everyone hello dude when you have a girl its time to share and care not waste the dough on drugs that's not going to get you lucky

c) and last he's adorable remembered you birthday and is favorite with the folks I give you contestant number three 'the nice guy' he works hard at work just to get tickets to that movie your aching to see or brings you cake when your feeling down I think I like this one HES OFF THE LIST

I will give you a shortened version of my story.

Obviously from a girls perspective but it may give you some insight into my opinion...

When I first started in high school I had one single friend. She had a few other friends and when she decided not to talk to me for a day (for no reason other than to be a cow) she would tell the other girls not to let me into their group.
I would sit in the library alone during lunch hour.

I wasn't 'picked' on by people or bullied, they just wouldn't let me hang out with them.

The girl I was 'friends' with started talking to me again and I started talking to the people in "her group" as well... I became very close friends with some of them.

Now this girl was considered to be one of the "cool kids"... she dated a "cool boy", they ended up having sex and when everyone found out she was labelled some very unsavoury names.

The guy's status went up higher, he was a god among the other boys.

Personally, I had a crush on the only guy in our little group... a lot of girls did... mostly because he loved to gossip with us and hang out... 2 years after I met him he told us all that he was gay... bonus is that now days we can talk about boys together! Haha but at the time we were all crushed!

Now... the girl that had sex with one of the "cool boys" I have not talked to for quite a few years but through contacts I have found out that she works in a nightclub and has a 5 year old son. She is single and borderline manic depressive.

I personally, love my life, I have a wonderful partner (who just landed a high paying job woot), We are buying a house and have a plan for our future...

I don't know if there was really a point to that story... I just started typing and ended up rambling I think :)
I haven't talked about that for a while.

Basically, I think a lot of girls like or have crushes on the "cool guys"
But the close friend was the one that stole my heart, even though he was just "one of us"

I think that some girls at your age like the bad boy type of guy or the player type because they think it is cool or they can change them.

I can honestly say I don't want a player or a junkie. Waste of time! I am okay settling for a nice, respectful, gainful employ, down to earth, open, spontaneous, disease free guy. Luckily I found all those things in my fiancé.

This may be a different answer to your question.I was with a guy for 8 plus years. He was doing crack in my place for the longest time. With the help and support of a female friend, I went down to the courthouse and filed a restraining order. This must have been the breaking point for him, because it made him not want to come back, or feel the need to. He has decided to move on with his life, Thank God! I have never felt so free in years, like I had been let out of prison. I am glad he is gone, and me staying strong to rid him of me. He was older, in his middle 40's and now I don't have to watch his self destruction. Someone else can.
