I am running Windows XP w/SP3. My problem is this. Whenever I go to a new site on the internet, it always opens in a minimized state. I have tried everything that I know of to correct this, such as closing the program in a full window, manually expanding the window by dragging the borders out etc. Close the program and reopen it and it will come up minimized again. I was under the impression that it should reopen in the state that it was closed last. I have another desktop and it works fine. What am I missing?

I don't know if this will help, since it is for a slightly different issue, but it might be worth a try.

I figured it out... Quite by accident and it doesn't make any sense. I opened a web site with IE 8, and it came up in a minimized state. For some reason, I went to the Menu bar on top and clicked on "View" and scrolled down to Full Size. It expanded the screen to full size, not expanded size, I clicked on the "X" to close the program. I then clicked on the web site icon to reopen and it came up in an expanded view, not the full size view. Now all of the web sites open in the expanded size. Doesn't make sense but it worked and that is all I care about.
