    Herpes and child birth
If you are a female and have genital Herpes C-Section is the only option for child Birth? IF you go the Vaginal way what can happen to the baby or the woman giving Birth?

I don't think that the woman would automatically have to have a C-section just because she has herpes. I think that they will only give her a C-section if she is having a herpes outbreak while she is delivering.

If she is having a herpes outbreak while she is delivering the baby, the baby could contract the virus from the mother. I don't even think that a doctor will deliver the baby vaginally if the mother has an outbreak.

I am not sure if my answer is correct or not. You should talk to a doctor about it and they will answer all the questions that you have, or you can Google it on the internet.

If you are outbreaking at delivery day they most likely give a c section.
I had a healthy baby and also genital herpes it was scarey.
Even though the doctors are professional you still need to shout the fact you think or if u are having an out break when you go into labour.

The outcome can be very nasty t the baby
