    Convert 110V to 480V
    Hi,

I need to convert 110V AC to 480V AC (no current - like a big Capacitor).
So far I could not find the right transformer for that task.
My Question is whether I can use a ballast for luminiscent Lights
(converts to ~600V) and a dimmer to adjust the voltage to what I need.

If this doesn't work I would appeciate any suggestions...

    Thanks & Cheers
    Marc

    There common control transformers.

Google search 120 480 control transformer

Pri and sec designations don't really matter.

All you need is a 480/ 240/120 volt x-former. Hook 120 volts to the secondary leads and walla... 480 vac is on the primary leads ( H1 and H2) It's called 'backfeeding'.
