    Find someone's past years wages
Is there anyway for someone to find out someone else's past years wages?

    Why do you ask?

It is possible, but not likely. They could, of course, hack into either the employer's or IRS files. They could hack into one's personal PC and open their Quicken or Money file and look at deposits. They could peek at a paycheck while visiting. There are any number of ways, they could find out, but it wouldn't necessarily be easy.

I remember, when I first starting working full time, I was in a manager training programs. Salaries were proscribed based on your progress in the program. So everyone knew what everyone else's salary was. In my next job, it was not like this and I, innocently and in the course of a conversation, mentioned my salary at a lunch one day. I learned then, that you don't discuss your salary with co-workers. :(

So,legally, there isn't anyway... my problem is, my ex has my children, and I pay child support. He says he is only making 14.00 an hour for being a truck driver. I would like to file a wage review with friend of the court to see if I could get my child support reduced, but I don't was to screw myself... two years ago we were making about the same... but I think now he is making way more than he says... I know I have his social security number... anyway to check with that?

Not legally. You need to consult your attorney. You can probably get him to submit his tax return for court review.

ScottGem's advice to get the court to solicit his tax return is the best (and most legal) course of action for you.

You could try to get his credit report, but I believe that is not legal.
