    Morning After Pill
I took the morning after pill 12 days ago 5 days after taking it I started to have a brown discharge it has been 8 days now and I am still having this symptom, it is almost like a period but not a normal one? My breasts are tender and I am very moody?
I am getting concerned, do I need to be?

If you're really concerned then see your doctor.

The morning after pill can throw off your period, so chances are that's what's happening.

Sadly we can't really give you a definite answer over the internet.

    Good luck.

There are various side effects of the morning after pill ( and is there not different types depending on what country you live in? )

But on any effects that are unsure, checking with your doctor or local health department can never hurt

It's not unusual to have bleeding after using the morning after pill, but check with your doctor if you are concerned.

After I took the day after pill I had the same symptoms. It will stop. Just make sure that you are having protected sex though.

I have taken the day after pill two times and about a month after both times I got pregnant. The first time I wasn't using protection, I had gotten raped and took the morning after pill and then got pregnant with my daughter a month later. Then the second time I got on birth control after I took the day after pill and got pregnant a month later. So, make sure that you are using protection if you are preventing yourself from getting pregnant. I think that the day after pill makes your hormones change and makes you more fertile after taking it.
