I have a Sony Cybershot 2.0 and it doesn't have a mic on it. Takes good video but no sound.

I would check the settings. I cannot Sony camera would not capture sound. Replay the clip in the camera and listen if you can hear the sound.

FYI: Lot of Sony cameras record movie in a format that "muxxes" sound and video onto one single channel. As a result, if you try to edit the movie in movie editing software , the software will select only one: either sound or video for editing. It always selects the video over audio. Therefore, you have no sound on your edited clip. In this case, you have download 3rd party sotware, like MPEG Streamclip, run your clip through this software and transfer it to lets say MPEG-4. Then, upload it to your editing software and proceed with edition as you please.

Correction: the second sentence in my previous post should read: I cannot imagine Sony camera would not capture sound... Thank you
