I think I did not shut off the laptop properly because when I turned it on and tried to open windows.. I cannot open any windows.. it is not reponding.. what should I do?

Nothing happens when I click on the programs.. no pop up menus too.. I can open the menu but when I click the programs ex the ms word, nothing happens

Reboot it again and it should help.
Sounds like windows HAS loaded, but there's and unknown issue.

If this doesn't work then boot into Safe Mode and do a system restore back a few days to when it worked correctly.
