I like to know the different between the Jewish believe, the Christian believe and the Islamic believe..
All and any diffrence...
Is there is really a diffrence? If all of them teatch the same thing.. what is it make people understand it different.
So yes in general...
Jews believe in God, Yahweh. They wrote the Old Testament.
Christians believe in the Blessed Trinity. We believe that there are three persons in one God. As our name implies, we believe that Jesus is God. We accept the Old Testament but include also the New which is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Islam believes in the Quran, which was allegedly revealed to Mohammed. Islam is not accepted by either the Jews or the Christians.
Islam claims to accept the Old and New Testament, but at the same time claims that they have been corrupted. Effectively then, they only accept the Quran.
I hope that helps.
For more information on the differences between Islam and Christianity, I suggest you visit the Answering Islam website. The page wouldn't load at this writing, but you can try later.
For more information about the differences between the Jewish faith and Christianity, you can read the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Or you can read this:
Welcome to the Second Exodus Apostolate
Sincerely,

My beliefe is in one God that made everything and everyone.
I still don't understand why do we see the diffrance in the same meanings.. For one we need to think about what was the real reason of all religions, and if we look closer we will find that we all believe in the same God, same good well.. Is that not why we have faith?
I'm finding that we all " Christians, Muslims, and Jews, are in this thing just to prove who is right or wrong, where it's all about doing the right things, believe in the Lord.. Where is the diffrence?
Christains Believe that God is Jesus, also the holy spirit.. But in the end, the beliefe is about one God, not two, not three.. The same as the Jews,, as well as Muslims..
I did study and I did read all three religions, and I did read the books, and I found that they all talking about the same thing... Does it matter that we call ourselves Christians or Muslims or Jews?
If it did, then I'm missing big on all what I understood all my life..
My question is not about why some one is better or not.. My question is what different do it make if we all believe in God, and good well, and if we all did what God want's us to do?
What would be the diffrence if we stand up once and start loving each other?
In the Bible it taught us to love, not to hate, as well as the Islam, and the Christianty,
So what is it what we learned from all this books and teachings?
What is the different?
The Jews looked forward to the coming messiah, the rituals they performed were a shadow of the substance that was to come, and the old testament is filled with prophecies about Jesus. Many of the first Christians were Jews that recognized that Jesus was indeed the Messiah. They knew that the sacrificial blood of bulls and goats was not sufficient to permanently cover all their sins.
Islam does not believe that Jesus was God in the flesh, nor that he died on the cross, therefore there is no sacrificial blood to cover their sins. They are expected to follow "laws to live by" to "earn" their spot in paradise.
The whole crux of the matter is sin.
The wages of sin is death and no amount of "good works" can make up or cover over a single sin.
Even in the old testament, "By the works of the Law shall NO man be saved."
Who have we sinned against? Remember when David had Bathshebas husband Uriah killed after David had committed adultery with her? David said, "It is against you and you only that I have sinned O Lord."
Since we are all Gods creation, a sin against one of his creatures is a sin against God.
"Without the shedding of blood, there is NO remission of sin."
God, in his love and mercy, became flesh, lived a perfect life and paid for our sins by His death. Only the one sinned against can pay the price for the sinner. We "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."
If a convicted murderer from the day after the murder never again committed any sin in either thought word or deed and did all kinds of good works for the next 15 years, he would still be executed for his sin and still go to hell without his trusting in the shed blood of christ to cover his sin.
To sum up, all religions try to get you to "do good and not bad." This doesn't help with previous sins. Christianity is different from all other religions in that The one sinned against,(God) paid the price He Himself established as payment. No other person has ever lived a sinless life or been prophecied to come and save us from what we cannot save ourselves because we are all sinners. If Jesus had lived a perfect life and was not God in the flesh, that would only be sufficient to save himself alone since all other peoples sins would still be against God. Because he IS God in the flesh, his sacrifice is sufficient to cover all sins against Him.
I have moved this out of Christianity, since it is not a "Christian" question,
But to be honest, there are 1000's of differnces, even within Christian faith, the difference of denominations are great, as in Jewish faith and Islam, they all have sects that have very different teachings
There are great difference between Jewish belief, Christian belief and Muslim belief. To start we should consider whether Allah is actually the same person as Yehweh; acknowledged as God by Jews and as God the Father by Christians. Please don't tell me that Allah is the arabic word for god and must therefore be the same. Examine the beliefs and contrast them; Muslims say God could have no son, yet Christians say Jesus Christ is the son of God, Christ himself called God his father, an anathema to both Jews and Muslims.
Muslims say Jews and Christians corrupted the Scriptures but there is no evidence of this and Christians accept the authenticity of the Jewish Scriptures So it comes down to this, someone must be right but all three cannot be right. We do not have three different views here of the same thing. A Jew can be justified under the Law but the Law as laid down by Moses with its ritual sacrifices for purification is no longer followed. God even says through his prophets that he doesn't desire this because the peoples' hearts are not pure. The Muslim seeks to be justified by deeds but if the Jew cannot be sanctified by sacrifice how can a Muslim be justified by deeds? And the Christian sees justification by faith in Christ and his atoning sacrifice which set aside the reproach of the Law. The Christian knows that you cannot be justified by deeds and places his faith in a better covenant, the covenant of the blood of Jesus, something neither Muslim or Jew can accept.
It comes down to this; who are you going to believe, man or God? Did Jesus died for nothing? Those who knew Jesus in person put their faith in him. Jesus did not establish belief through war and threats but through love.
Very interesting opinion... I would say that my understanding to what I learn is backwards if this is the way we know God, And I mean Jews, Christians & Muslims...
According to what I learned when I studied the holy Torah & the Haftarot (both Jewish books) they described Yahewah as the God of war, in which was explained later by Moses that it is God whom also carry all the Glorifying names... Also, according to the old & new testaments, Jesus Christ Himself, called on the Father & said (not mistaken) my God...
Ooh... The Muslims... In the Qura'an in which I'm not sure if you did read it or not, I can answer you because I did study it & I can coat you from it verses... It said : "To whom are Jews, Christians & Sabins, that believed in God, the hereafter & do good in their lives, that they have nothing to fear & that God will reward them" Verse two, Section 62...
So.. Muslims do believe that Allah is the same as God, the same way Jews & Christians, Catholics believes... I think more readings will not harm you...
If this question is been used for hate & trying to make it harder than it is between this three realigns, then I don't think we need to continue on saying thinks without understanding it.. If anyone thinks that they know the truth that is based on facts from the HOLY (Torah, Bible, Qura'an) then answer... But please do not try to make it personal... We need to learn the right from wrong & not to sale our own beliefs...
Thank you all & God bless you..
There is no hate in my answer, I tell you the truth. You think that Muslims should do good to Christians and Jews according to the passage you quoted in the Quoran, how is it that the chief persecutors of Christians and Jews is Muslims, don't these persons believe their prophet or perhaps it is that he confused them by also telling them to kill Christians and Jews.
Jesus said do good to those who hate you, where can you get a more perfect rule than this, even unbelievers are included. I tell you this those who hate and kill because of religion have missed the point and all those who tell their followers to do so are false prophets, false leaders and worthy of condemnation.
In no place in the Qura'an nor the Islamic teachings I saw (killing Christians or Jews) if you believe there is, I would like you to point me there because I had studied their religion & I will say you are wrong.. But I agree with you to those who use religion to their own agendas are wrong & must be stopped...
Christianity is a word came from old Greek means the followers of the Christ in which means the man who died on the cross, So.. I did read in the Qura'an & the Islamic teachings that they do believe in Jesus Christ and that they acknowledge that he came from God's spirit... Maybe they don't call him the SON like we do, but they actually believe that he is the saviour to mankind, that throw him is the salvation, they do understand that Jesus Christ is coming back from heaven to fight the unite Christ... Exactly the way it's told in the new testament...
I'm not going to argue about their prophet because I'm not the man to judge him.. But his teachings were very clear... He taught the Muslims that they couldn't be muslims or go to heaven unless they believed in Jesus and the old ways.. He taught them that this new book they have is nothing but the full bible..
Maybe I'm mistaken.. But this is what I learned over the years & I agree that there is a lot of muslims around the world that don't even understand their own teachings & that a huge part of this people are using it for their own hate agendas.. But my friend, is it not the same thing with us too?
I mean not to make anyone upset for the way I write, But I believe that we all need to find a common ground between us all and live in peace.. No need to hate if we really stopped and become ready to listen to each other..
God bless you all..
Danny
Mohamad didn't tell muslims to kill christians nor jews niether any other religion.
He said we can live with them peacefuly, they can pray and do everything they want in the muslims countries, nobody hates another.
He only said if anyone in any religion if they came to harm you in your own home or city or country defeat yourself and your family, he allowed them to kill only soldiers, and not to harm women, children or old people.
Islam also believe in christianity and jewdasim, and believe in all their profits including mohamad.
Islam means peace in arabic language, and that's what it is a peaceful religion.
Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes..
Hope what I've said gives you a little hint about islam.
If his teachings are so clear why is it that Muslim belief and practice is so different. I think it is because of the same problem we have in Christianity, the traditions of men why rely on what is not written in the Bible and the Koran but on what is taught by religious leaders. The religious leaders in Jesus day led the people astray, the religious leaders in the Christian era led the people astray and the religious leaders in Islam lead the people astray.
Who then can be saved? I give you Jesus answer; with man it is impossible but with God all things are possible
