There are several reason for the coil to freeze over. So what you hae to do is go down the list to find the cause in your case.

    Dirty Filter-----replace filter.

    Dirty Evaporator coil-------clean coil

Return air grills blocked-----make sure grills are not blocked.

    Some supply registers closed---open registers

Freon level in condensing unit is low--charge unit.

Air handler motor speed is too low---increase speed or change motor.

These are the reasons that you might find, there are others.

Two things can cause icing in the evap section, improper air flow, and low refrigerant charge. Improper air flow can be caused by many things, dirty filters, dirty coils, too many supply vents closed. The motor speed needs to be correct also.

I'll add some. Restriction at the TXV or piston at the evaporator coil. But I'm going with the low refrigerant level.
