I live in Cobb County in Georgia and my husband and I obtained his 15yr old nephew on April 18th because his mother put him out the house at 2 in the morning. She then proceeded to go to the bar with her friends. His previous residents was in Fulton County. How can we obtain guardianship of him if she will not give us guardianship or can we obtain guardianship without her?

You go to your local children's services agency. Throwing a 15 yr old out of the house would be considered child abandonment. Children's servicescan then work with you about gaining guardianship.
