Can you be psychic and turn it off an on? Like if you used to see things and hear things and write things and dream weird things and then you didn't like it could you "turn it off" and how do you "turn it back on"

Basically you can't just turn it back on. Psychic powers can come and go. Sometimes the different psychic powers manifest for a few months or years and then are replaced by different psychic powers. They just can't be turned off and on like a light switch. Also, if one particular psychic power is not used on a regular basis, it can be inadvertently be turned off due to non use. Also, if a true psychic uses their powers too much, they can literally get burned out and lose their powers if they "let their battery get too low". Some psychic powers or gifts can stay for a lifetime and never leave.

Its like mediumship though, that is there all the time BUT you can choose to switch it on and off when you like, you have to take control of it by protecting yourself. I was once told that once you start on this path whether that be psychic or mediumship, then there's no going back, only you can have a break from it for a while, so yeah I guess you can switch it on and off. But if you switch it off for a very long time,then the harder it will be to switch it back on again, it's there for a reason, either to use it wisely or not at all.

To me I think it is when you are insync/in tune with things and not stressed on your everyday life that you tend to get psychic things.
Like I can go months even years and nothing.
I don't think it is so much me controlling it or it controlling me more just being open to it more than other times.

Psychic powers seem to be in focus when life has little distractions. There is power in meditation.
