The animals on your farm have other pests to worry them such as fleas. Just get rid of the head lice on your daughter's head and you have nothing to worry about !

I raised chickens for food and that is killing, butchering, plucking and no one who eats chicken wants to see that procedure. Do you know what lives on chickens!! That is one of the reasons we use boiling water to dip them in before plucking, it makes the plucking easier but also gets rid of other things from one cowgirl to another.

    Hi sherry,

The short answer is... NO... your animals cannot get human headlice.

Lice have different species, in other words human lice live on human blood,

Dog lice live on dog blood and so on..

PLease don't worry about this it's very common today.

Go to your local pharmacy who will give you some preparation over the counter, this will clear it up very quickly.
