I have been experiencing some phenomena in my house but for some reason it is only happening to my mom and me.I want to know if my house is haunted or was built on a burial ground?And if it leaves will it open a portal?

I hope you understand that it is just about impossible to answer such a question as there are so many things we don't understand about such things and also that there are many factors that could be involved.

You sound like you are talking about phenomena that might be considered to be a "ghost."

The house I am living in now was purchased with money left to me by a maiden aunt who died in the apartment we shared with her. My wife was her caregiver when she died.

We moved her estate furniture, including the bed she died in, to the attic of this house, which is finished just like a living room. One morning about 3am when I was working on a computer up there, I glanced at the bed to my right, and she was seated on the end wrapped in a thick brown comfort, looking straight ahead. I turned my head back to the computer, looked back at the bed, and she was gone. I felt no terror or anything like it. This woman was my father's sister and she helped raise my from the time I was born.

I also saw something that would be considered a "ghost" in an old abandoned building when I was a police officer in Washington, DC, walking a beat in the wee hours of the morning. I also used to walk a beat at night around Ford's Theater and the house where Lincoln died and you would not believe how it feels to be in and around those places alone at night even though I never saw anything unusual.

Of course, there is really no rational way to explain such things and people who try to investigate phenomena of this type in a legitimate way are often branded as crackpots. Some of the people who report such things say that they saw the "phenomena" while others present did not. Apparently this is not unusual.

The notion of a portal is not so unusual either, some of the stories I have heard of what people have seen in and around the Gettysburg battlefield involve looking into a portal or window where they can see what is going on in the past.

Have you tried setting up a video camera or sound recording equipment and letting it run all night or at times when no one is around? People doing that kind of thing have come up with some unusual stuff that is quite shocking if it cannot be explained in some rational fashion.

I suppose it might be possible to do some research and see what your property used to be, in my area there are some old graves that are not in cemeteries. I also used to be a NASA security patrolman at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, and there are some old graves near some of the off-base facilities. We did get some reports of odd stuff going on there at night, but I never saw anything.

In short I'm telling you to do some rational poking around and investigating and see what you come up with. GOOD LUCK!
