Hello, I have a 4 year old she only says "mom" & "yea" she's had a cat scan done also blood work everything came back fine. She's also had her hearing tested and that was fine also. She's not a slow child very bright just no talking.
She even goes to daycare everyday and is'nt picking up the talking from the other kids there.
We go to speech speech, doesn't seem to be helping I don't know what to do.
Doctors say they don't know what is wrong with her and can't seem to digeneous her with anything.
I just won't to know am I the only one with a child like this with "NO SPEECH" from a 4yr old child?

I'm glad to hear that you took her in and she is healthy.
Are they teaching her sign language at daycare? They used to teach the kids sign language at kndercare where I live. The parents started to complain about it because it was in a way encouraging them not to speak.

I know a lot of 4 yr old boys who are just beginning to talk but most girls I know are talking by 4.
Is she shy?
Is she being handed everything she wants without having to ask?
What does she do when you would think she would or should have something to say like when a kid pushes her or takes a toy off her?
Does she have tantrums to get what she wants?

Have you tried not giving her something until she asks for it?

Well she's a little shy but not overly!
She does get everything handed to her that she wants, just because it's so hard with no speech @ all. If a kid was to take a toy or something from her she just cres a little if no one really pays attn to it she'll just walk away.
And lately she has been taking little tantrums when she doesn't get her own way!
It seems like she really wants to talk but nothing EVER comes out.

Had to spread the rep, but Nohelp is right on the money here.

I did all the things you did pretty much with my little guy. He did not feel the need to talk because everybody knew what he was trying to say, so why bother.

I'm sure that through the tests you've done, the doctors were able to determine that there is nothing wrong with her cognitiveley, or physically, meaning she is quite able to form words, and understand language structure.

So, she can process information, understand language, is able to communicate verbally, and has an otherwise uneventful life typical of a 4 year old.

Maybe you have to force the issue a little bit more.

Ask her if she wants you to read a book, and while she's scrambling to pick out her favourite one, tell her she must say 'book' before you will read. Sit in a comfortable place with her, and keep repeating for her to say, 'book', then you will read. If she makes an effort, read the book.

Try the same with a cookie, a toy, an event. Things that require simple one word answers, but make her say the word before you give in. Tell her if she says 'cookie' she gets a 'cookie', etc.

Don't give into the tantrums. Play it cool, walk away, try again in five minutes. She will soon get the picture, or eventually get the picture, that saying the word 'cookie' puts that cookie in her mouth a lot faster than not saying it. Four year olds want things NOW lol.

You are in a position where you have ruled out every possible reason for her not to talk, except one.

She doesn't have to. She gets what she wants, without saying a word.

With school looming in the future, time to set a consistent plan in place to modify the skill she already has, to include forming words and saying them.
