Kenmore Washer not draining or spinning
I have a Kenmore washer model No. 110.23822100 that will agitate but stops when it reaches the spin cycle (won't drain or spin). There is no sound. Is the lid switch the most likely problem?

More a timer rpoblem than a lid switch. The lid switch would stop agitation too. Does you washer have a turn dial and does it turn during operation?

Yes, the turn dial turns during operation. The washer normally agitates with the lid open but needs the lid closed to spin. That's why I thought maybe it's the lid switch.

Does the dial continue to turn while the washer fails to pump, will it finish its rotation?

The dial stops, along with everything else, between "Rinse" and "Spin" on the dial.

I think you have a dead spot in your timer and there aren't any real fixes other than to replace the timer motor.

Thanks for answering my questions, and I appreciate you taking the time to help me to try and figure this out. While waiting for your last reply I removed the lid switch and found that the bracket was bent, preventing it from making proper contact. It was something I didn't notice on my initial inspection. Once I bent it back into place it worked normally. Problem solved! Thanks again.
