    Concrete cracks
I have cracks in a side path I poured at my home. Is it possible for shrinkage cracks to look like settlement cracks? I compacted all the subgrade first, and took every precaution to ensure I did not get settlement cracks, i.e.. Adequate depth to reinforcing and not a slumpy concrete, but I still got cracks which followed the reinforcing. So I thought it may be shrinkage cracks as it was a hot day. Isthis possble.

    Thank you

If it was a hot day and you didn't continually wet the concrete as it was drying cracks can occur from the rapid curing of the concrete.

Did you cut control joints every 3-4' in the walkway the day after the pour so any cracking will occur in the control joints or struck pad joints while the cement was still wet?
