I just recently graduated from high school which is a great achievement, however I think I left behind my first love and boyfriend. I know Im suppose to be over him, but I'm not. I can't explain why I still love him but I do. I was hoping that after graduation we were still going to keep in touch and maybe go out sometimes, but I haven't heard from him. I'm not saying that I want to get back into a relationship with him right now, I just want to be able to communicate with him. To be honest I truly miss him. Should I take it upon myself and call to ask him out or should I keep it old fashioned and wait until he make the first move? Please respond to me because I really need some help with this situation.

Why do you think you shouldn't have feelings for him?
Don't let the stress of societal pressure tell you what is right or wrong about your love life.
Anyway. If you want to stay friends and stay in touch with him, there's nothing wrong with that.
If he doesn't try to contact you he might either be busy, or maybe he's expecting you to do the same.
Try to call him once, leave him a message if he doesn't answer, let him know you still want to be friends, and if he doesn't get back to you then he doesn't feel you are a priority.
Just avoid seeming to clingy or attached because that will drive him away. One phone call is all you need to do.

I'm not sure if it was because you do not like the responses that you got, but it's better to keep all your questions about the same issue in the same thread to give you better advice.
