Turned on A/C for the start of summer, overnight the hose froze up and the A/c keeps running COLD will not shut off automatic. What causes and canI fix it?

HOSE,, what kind of a/c has a hose? Tell us more . Is it a window unit? A package unit? A split system? Does it have a brand name and model number? If so it is needed.
