I have an outdoor facet that while press is in the line water comes out of the stem and bonnet. I took it apart and got a stem repair kit. I wrap it and replaced the washer. But I believe I did it wrong since it still leaks through the stem. Any help on this Please

Purchase a small roll of graphite string packing. Wrap the stem with enough turns to just about fill the cavity and then crank down on the bonnet packing nut. Not too tight, just enough to stop any water leaking out. Good luck, tom

Ive also just used teflon tape to substitute the packing.
