I think this is an electric dryer.

    1. Is the heating element burned out? (use ohmmeter. Disconnect power, disconnect wire from one end of the element, check for resistance across element).

    2. If the heating element is OK, is power getting to the heating element? (use voltmeter on 240 VAC scale. Check for power across element when the dryer is turned on. You might need to clip long leads to the element and run them out of the dryer).

    3. If the heating element is heating and power is not getting to it, you have to look in at the thermostats that turn power off when it gets too hot. There may be more than one. It/they may be faulty. (test with an ohmmeter with power disconnected or with a voltmeter when connected).

    4. If none of the above, the electronic circuitry that provides power to the heating element may be faulty.

    5. If power is getting to the dryer, it may be that not enough air is flowing through the dryer. Make sure the vent pipes are clean and the filter is clean. This is a very common problem with dryers.
